Outdoor Classroom
We were delighted to open our outdoor classroom last week with a lovely visit from the Focus Foundation who donated £13,500 for the main classroom structure. Named 'Atlantis' by students, the whole area provides a welcome quiet space for children who prefer or need quieter play. In the near future we are funding additional new outdoor areas for early years too.
Pop Up Shops
Our pop up shops have raised over £2,000 this year and given mother's day, father's day and Christmas a special moment where children can buy a little comething for someone special completely independently of a parent - making it a real surprise. They are also a lot of fun for us, although making the choices truly environmentally friendly remains a serious challenge.
Discos
Our discos run twice or three times a year and are back this year with a new theme! They are a firm favourite with the children and raise around £1500 a year.
Seasonal Raffles
Raffles and tombolas are a firm favourite at Christmas, Easter and at our Summer Fair. You can buy your tickets online or at school drop offs and pick ups.
Pantos and Shows
The PTFA pay for a science show or pantomime for all the children every year. This doesn't raise any money, but does ensure children who otherwise might not experience theatre get the chance to.
Book Bags
Every child at the school gets a book bag, funded by the PTFA. This means that every child can start school with a smart, waterproof Cradle Hill bag and parents have one less thing to worry about paying for.
Forest School
Our forest school continues to go from strength to strength with ideas for a (safe) pond and additional forest gardening solutions looking for funding from us for next year
